Florence dropped 3 large oaks on my car crushing the top and hood and fender
I need to know if car can be repaired or I should take my insurance settlement
of 50 k. The top is obviously my concern. Convertible?

Take the money and run! Without more information I could not say what the car was worth but I seriously doubt you could have sold it for anything near that amount of money.

Is the top the only place that is damaged? Are you saying you want to make it a convertible? I feel like that would significantly decrease the value. But if you don't care about the resale value it could work if only the roof was damaged.
The top is wrinkled but really not that bad. A first class body and fender guy could fix that.
Take the money and buy it back for $1,000. Part it out or restore it.
All good advice.. wife definitely leans toward running.. Front windshield is cracked Hood damaged and driverside door bent. Nacelles crushed and various scratches. All patrs (aftermarket) are available including roof skin and frame. Big delima iswith the motor and drivetrain.. I just finished installing a new GM crate motor with 3 year warranty.
