2016 f250 6.2 flex fuel dead motor

Asked by Carskillme Apr 02, 2019 at 10:42 PM about the 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT SuperCab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driving along no issue except a slight ticking noise,
suddden loss of power. Codes show retarded
timing, camshaft sensor issue and missfire in #2
and #4 cylinder. Mechanic says lower bearing shot
and I need an entire motor as oil is full of brass
particles upon checking. No plowing or towing,
63K miles. 4wd All thoughts welcome

1 Answer

Lots of brass indicates a bad bearing, possibly a main. Bummer. How many miles on your engine?
