Shifter moves, But transmission doesnt change gears.

Asked by TConnect16 Jan 19, 2020 at 06:11 PM about the 2016 Ford Transit Connect Cargo XL FWD with Rear Cargo Doors

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All of a Sudden Transmission will not shift.

1. There is no fuse on diagram for brake lights
2. I am able to move shifter to all Gears but the transmission doesnt shift.
3. When in shifter is in park the indicator on dashboard doesnt recognise it
until i put upward pressure on shifter with hand.
4. it did have a Burned out small brake bulb.
5. Dash says there is a bulb fault but it has been changed.

The shift cable under car has a plastic tab its broken... very cheap very easy to fix.. that will fix the issuse
