I am thinking of buying how do feel reliability is.
Mechanical  wise

I agree. The specialty forums are the place to go to get the good and the bad. Having done exactly that, as well as a lot of other reading on that car I think you'll find they are amazingly reliable. I have yet to run across anyone who does not love their Volt. It's been a success story for GM far beyond their wildest dreams. (And yes, I know this is an ancient thread, but others may ask so hopefully my sage advice will be helpful to someone.)
