4 wheel drive

Have a 2016 suburban Lt. When I put truck into 4
wheel drive the vehicle will almost come to a stop
when making a turn either direction Feels like front
drive is grinding noise  . Vehicl drives fine in awd or
2 wheel.

Sounds like you are trying to drive in 4WD on dry pavement. DON'T DO THAT!
