I have a new 2016 suburban for 3 weeks now. Every day I drive it this has happened.. when turning eiher left or right, it feels like my wheels lock up and I'm sliding. It does not happen every single turn but frequent enough to make me feel unsafe. I have taken it into the dealership for service and unfortunately they have not been able to duplicate the issue, therefore nothing is being done to fix the problem. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? I'm afraid I have a $75k lemon!

You have 30 DAYS to return vehicle under the lemon laws. Let the dealer know you are NOT happy and will be invoking those lemon laws unless they figure out FAST what the problem is. It's probably a touchy ABS, perhaps they can't replicate it because they don't drive under wet or slicker road conditions.

They are heavy and taking turns quickly or while on the brake hard may cause this. Turn a circle at low speed in a parking lot and let someone stand far enough back to observe the the front end to see if tires are rubbing or locking up,.

We actually had a friend who is a car guru himself drive the Suburban and he did duplicate the problem but could not identify it. This happens during slow turns. Since it is new, I don't drive too fast to be cautious, and because I have children. As for the lemon law 30 day return.. do you know if this applies to Ca? I haven't been able to find anything regarding this on the internet. BTW.. thank you for responding

CA definitely has Lemon Laws. Pretty sure they invented it in fact. (http://www.dca.ca.gov/acp/pdf_files/englemn.pdf). My suggestion is to use the threat of it as leverage to get the dealership to look into your problem. BTW what size tires and rims do you have on this?

Yes. Lemon laws applies for the entire Country.

I understand it applies to all states. I just had not heard of a 30 day return policy. I am looking into this. It's been to the dealership 2x. They have had it this last time for 5 days and want us to come pick it up as they can not duplicate the problem. We are firm and will not let it go.. trust me... I just want to know what the heck is causing this.. It sucks having a brand new vehicle and having to deal with this crap! the tires are 20 inch.

just an idea, leave the truck with the dealer and have someone with a decent commute home to take your vehicle home with him a few days in a row to try to duplicate the problem. I had to do that once and it worked

We did leave it with tbe dealer. The mechanic took it home and put over 100 miles on it, for the last 5 days. Still unable to duplicate it. So frustrating! We have to pick it up tomorrow.. while we're there we'll drive it with the service mechanic. I'm praying at this time they will diplicate it.
