Metal on metal gringing sound from front left wheel

Asked by Brandy Jun 23, 2021 at 06:09 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so over 3 days the sound has gotten worse.
Coming from left front driver side wheel area.
Sound like metal on metal grinding.  Thinking it is
the brakes but the stabilink service light, abs light
and traction control service light are on too now.
Could it be a wheel bearing that needs to be
replaced?  Sounds super ugly now to wear its
parked till I get at least front brakes replaced.

Will do, sounds like it might be the hub so I got a replacement part for that too. Last time I looked rotors looked ok but i know i will have to get that replaced in the near future too.
