2016 Jeep Cherokee Lattitude

Asked by GuruSM941 Jun 18, 2019 at 09:02 PM about the 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was in a flash flood when the
jeep had 13000 mi on it. My
insurance had to pay for a
brand new motor. They
accused me of joy riding. I am
disabled and 62. The insurance
told me if I had signs of
electrical issues to take it back
in.
My Jeep would start one day
and not the next. The radio
worked one day and then it
didn't. Then it did. The AC
could not be adjusted one day
and fine on next start. The
battery stays charged yet all
programming works
intermittently including the
phone over the speakers.
I paid for an extended warranty
that has proven to be non
existant. I wish I had never
purchased this vehicle. Has
anyone else had any of the
issues?
I was actually told that I cannot
drive through any puddles
because the air intake is on the
lower portion of the motor.
I don't think they keep track of
reported issues as I just read
about a 2019 with simalar
issues.
The battery would not charge if
it was the alternator correct? It
has to be electrical.

Jeeps do have electrical problems but the flood will be blamed for all of them. I wish you luck.
