Asked by Emiljano Mar 01, 2022 at 11:23 PM about the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I drive with the headlights off the voltage fluctuate from 12.1v to 14.4v.
Also, when I park the car and it is still running and the headlights off, the
voltage drops at 12.2v. But when I turn the headlights on and drive or park but
car still running, the voltage is 13.6 to 14.

Computer controlled charging systems are very load and voltage sensitive, this really sounds normal as it seems to be kicking up when the loads increase, but if your concerned have a good independent shop check the system out.
