side mirror camera replacement

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My driver's side camera is not showing an image.  Only static.  I figured I
need to get in there and see if something came loose, etc.  I haven't found
anything online on how to access the camera inside the mirror.  Any tips are
appreciated before I take a crack at it.

I've attached an image of what the screen looks like. You can see how the left camera image is all dark...

Shoot - this is exactly what ours is doing right now. Did you figure out what was wrong?

same issue on my 2014... i am not brave enough to try to reach the camera inside the mirror
