Dodge 1500 Brake system

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently my mechanic, whom inspects my Brakes at my request after each Oil
Change, told me that, when my brakes become due to be changed, that
because the Brake System is a Mercedes system, that, not only will the brake
pads need to be replaced, but the Rotors will also need to be replaced due to
how the Mercedes system is manufactured.  Is this true?!!

bob_nueske I'm all about safety, for all, on the road. What I'm not ok with is the astronomical price..... :(
