2016 Dodge Grand Caravan bad valve

Asked by Michael Aug 12, 2020 at 12:06 PM about the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T FWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Have a Car Shield warranty and my van started running bad idling so took it to
a dealer was informed it has a bad valve in #2 cylinder head. Dodge says they
have to replace the whole head so car shield refuses to pay and dodge wants
over $3,600 to fix it. Just how screwed am I, can I get this fixed somewhere at a
better price?

Get a quote at an independent shop. If the problem is just a valve it would not require a new head but maybe there is more to the problem than you know.
