Asked by BuddyFoyJr Mar 26, 2018 at 11:30 AM about the 2016 RAM 1500 Laramie Limited Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Left the car on while I rean into the store, came out (5 min later), put it in
reverse, would not engage. I put back in the park, then tried to put back into
gear, would not move (the gear dial would not move). I turned off the car, then
it would not turn over. The remote start would not work either. Car make an
electric sound (fuel pump?), but will not start. All the lights come on, the
message is "push the brake to start" I push the break and it still does not start.
The brake peddle is very very stiff.

Battery has a full charge and connections all good? If the starter motor won't crank the engine, I'd check the starter motor wiring circuits. Any testing, make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. Any applicable trouble codes? Other than checking the basics, I don't know what else.
