stalls on acceleration

accelerator pump in the carburetor ? if you can look down the barrel (engine off) you should see gas squirt when you open the throttle , look for broken/loose vacuum lines
it needs carb work- just go ahead and put Webers on it- and a cam while you're at it- that's a cool car and it deserves the best-
