So I have a 2005 dodge stratus that has been
overheating. I have replaced the thermostat and
that seems to not be the issue. The shop I have it
at says it isn't the head gaskets either. It
overheated yesturday when he drove it, but when
he drove it agian today it didnt.. any suggestions
on what it could be??

And the shop doesn't know? Strange? U sure fan works? Could be radiator has reduced flow. This tends to happen when you have higher rpm on engine cause the flew is reduced. Sometimes mixing antifreezes will cause them to gel, look at that too. Finally could the thermostat have been put in backwards. Hope some of that helps my friend...let us know wat ya find!

I have a 05 stratus w/2.4L that just put new water pump in and thermostat and temp sensor still overheating but reads normal. As soon as shut off can hear bubbling in resivour/lines I have bled coolant system bleeder. I'm starting to think it's a head problem. What did you find out with yours? Thanks
Check the water pump I own a 2004 stratus and my water pump has gone bad twice now...
