Then the reason your car doesn't start is not the key or ignition. You need fuel and spark to start a car. I would suggest you check if you have fuel pressure first, you can borrow a gauge at the auto parts store. Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key? if not, it might be you have a failed fuel pump. If all that checks out, check for spark. Search online for the procedures.
