how do you get in trunk with a dead battery?2016 SS

Jump start, new battery or charge the one you have.

I don't know if your talking vehicle battery or fob battery? If fob battery, change the battery. On some vehicles you can remove rear seat back to access trunk, don't know about yours? If vehicle battery, sometimes you can use battery charger at starter motor bat terminal to charge the vehicle battery.

Under the hood should be a jump option. If not connect ground to frame/motor and positive to the wire on the back of the alternator
