2005 Honda Accord LX 2.4L

Asked by west2005 Apr 01, 2017 at 12:44 AM about the 2005 Honda Accord LX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a 2005 Honda Accord LX 2.4L which I
purchased recently. It came with just one key and
the key was worn down some, but the buttons click
and everything, just no light when clicking on them.
I see the horn in the car and the person I bought it
from told me nothing about any problem with it.
So, I opened the key and replaced the battery and
voulahh, it lights up. Bad part, it doesnt do anythinf
to the car when I click on any of the buttons. So, I
want to know what I can do to make it actually
work. Is there a fuse I can replace to make it work
again or what? Thank You.

when you removed the battery you may have erased it's code ,,, now your in a real pickle because you need a working key to program another key ,,, a good locksmith may help you but unless your related to a Honda dealer it may cost you a lot

Holy Crap. I hope I didnt inadvertedly do that. I just thought replacing the battery would fix the problem, not cause another one from it. Does this mean I have to go to a Honda dealership now and have them see what happened. Damn.
