I’m having the same issue. Did you ever determine the source of the problem ?

I am having the same issue with my 2016 Altima. About once every month or two I startup the car and the screen for the radio/backup camera is just blank - like no power. So far it has always come on within a minute or so. Very unnerving.

I’m having the same issue but I don’t even have to be in my car for the radio to go on and the car doesn’t have to be started. What up with that?

Same thing with me, 2015 Sentra. Dealership wants 3 grand to replace it. Their radios themselves are $1000. They're easy to replace, but there's no point because they're just gonna break again. See hundreds or more posts just like this. I would bet a hefty sum a large portion of their radios for years have been defective and Nissan just doesn't care. Unless you wanna fork over 25% of what you paid for the car just to get a working radio. It's insanely frustrating. I'm gonna try to get a 3rd party radio installed and see what happens, I'll report back here if any luck.

I took mine to an after market shop. They said some power wire thing is fried, and that they get more broken Nissan radios than any other car brand. I bought an Alpine and had them install it, works perfectly now.

I have a 2020 Nissan Versa and my radio was replaced 3 times in 6 months that also include the one that came with the car so 4 radio’s and 1st it’s my phone then it’s normal for it to do it 2-3 times a week for who would spend all that money on a car that doesn’t work properly

Don't waste your money on a radio replacement. On radio 4 and the problem with the radio randomly rebooting screen & backup camera going black persists. Dealership has no clue. Contemplating after market but unsure if it will work when plugged into the existing wiring harness.
