Car overheating.

Asked by Anthony Jan 02, 2015 at 04:08 PM about the 2005 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is leaking antifreeze. The
reserve antifreeze is boiling. The
heater does not push out heat; is the
cold air. Check engine light just came
back on.

If you don't know where the leak is use one of these, you can buy borrow or rent one. Test with engine cold. Meantime keep radiator full, but if it severely overheats all the time, don't drive it, you could blow a head gasket if you haven't already..hope not ..and do an OBD scan. Since CEL is on some fault has been detected and might help point you in right direction
