Does my cigarette outlet automatically turn off?

Asked by Sahn Nov 28, 2020 at 08:01 PM about the 2016 Honda Civic LX

Question type: General

Hello,
I bought "type s" interior LED lights that plug into my
cigarette outlet of my car. When I turn my car off, the LED
lights do turn off but I was wondering if it will still be
draining my battery even after the car is turned off. Do I
have to unplug it everytime or can I just leave it plugged in?

It will not drain the battery since it turns power off therefore no current is flowing and no power is consumed. Just leave it plugged in.
