There is a welcome musical sound when starting & a different one when
turning the car off. Can this be disabled?

Hit the menu button on the wheel and scroll to user settings then sound then ok. You will then see "welcome sound " hit ok and checkmark will disappear from box. Scroll up to back arrow and hit ok.
