Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Last few days an intermittent problem has been happening. When I turn the
key to start, it will crank and then fade off like it won't start. A couple of times
I have turned the key to off and then tried again it will start right up. Today it
cranked for several seconds and then slowed to almost a stop and then
started. Is this the starter?

Possible starter, but need to check the battery, If you have a digital multi meter check the battery to see if it has 12.5 DCV.
New battery six months ago.
Leaning on a worn out starter then, they do what you describe when worn out. You can have it taken off and tested, but a lot of places do not load test them and thats how it should be done. But I'd say it is in the starter, just from experience.
