Read your owners manual. Probably 4 1/2 to 5.

Owner's manual is the mysterious thing that resides in most glove compartments. It holds valuable information that is seldom accessed by the owner usually due to laziness. Go find it and do some reading.

Didn't your mothers ever teach you guys that if you didn't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all? I was simply trying to figure out if it would be more economical to buy single quarts instead of a 5-quart container to give to the service people. I was trying to confirm what I read when I Googled it. I never even thought that it might be in the Owners Manual. That makes total sense, but I never thought of it. Not that anybody cares, but as it turns out that when I used the 5-quart bottle, I got nothing back. When I used the single quarts, I got two back so I'm going that way from now on. A synthetic oil change is pricey. I would like to save where I can. I would prefer that this thread be closed now so that I don't have to read anymore rude comments. I have my answer now, and I won't ever be back to ask another question.

There are some that when told to look in the owner's manual think it is insulting. Looking in the manual is the best way to avoid false answers that occur frequently on internet forums. An addition, looking in the manual helps one to learn some of the wealth of information that is there in that mysterious book. Glad you got it figured out. I personally would avoid the quick lube places to get a vehicle as I prefer the dealership. They know the vehicle best, have competitive pricing and actually have trained personnel working on your expensive car.

I would never go to a quick lube place. I've heard awful stories about those places. I go to a reputable car repair place. The mechanic there is excellent. I bring the oil and Hyundai filter to them and they change it for a few bucks. There is no dealer close to me. I'll head to the manual for all future questions though. Thanks for the follow-up.

@GuruZQPKB, My answer may suck, but it is factual. If you have a 2016 Accent the oil quantities are in section 8 page 4 and the recommended grade is in section 8 page 5. It took all of 2 minutes to find and download the information. If you do not have a 2016 Accent you didn't even post in the correct topic section. Also when having questions they are usually asked in a new thread and not on someone else's. I think that Lynn, the original poster, understands my answer was not meant to be insulting. Name calling on an internet forum always makes me chuckle.

Must be nice to be so privileged to be Abel to by a new car anytime you want. Some of us are reduced to buying used ones. Believe it or not, they don't always come with a manual.
