CAR RUNNING SLUGGISH WITH NOISE

Was driving on freeway when yellow engine light came on, then car began to run rough and when i was exiting freeway the car died,I was able to pull over.When restarting the car,it has rough idle and no acceleration with a rattling sound.Any ideas on problem?

Take the car to an auto parts store like autozone or similar and have them read the trouble codes that turned the engine light on. Write down every code that shows in the exact order they show, and exactly what each problem it suggests after each code. Then come back here and post that info & we can help you out.
