honda civic DX 2004 won't start.
about 5 months ago i bought this honda civic DX for 400 bucks from the guy whos brother wanted to sell it. it cranks up but it won't start. i looked though the owners manual to see if there was something in there that could help me, but lets just say i couldn't find much except for potiential fuse problems? i got one of those spark testers to see if theres any spark going to the engine to help diagnose it, and im about to look at the timing and compression, we can hear the fuel pump going in the car, and i recently got a new battery for it. so we ruled out fuel system problems and the air system has a new air filter but no cover for the top of the air filter.
could the cover be a major limiter to starting the car? do i need a air filter cover for it? if so i know they sell them on amazon for 45 bucks with prime, because i really want to start this car and test it out.
