Hello. I am considering installing a high
performance air filter similair to K&N. I am reading
online that these filters allow more particles of
dust into the engine itself and can cause damage.
Is there any truth to this?
I have one on my Truck and I live on a very dusty gravel road. My engine has 215,000 miles on it, runs like new and does not use oil. I noticed that my engine oil was cleaner after switching to the K&N filter which I attribute to less dirt getting into the engine.
not true..as you can spray a light coat of of on them...
