2004 honda civic coupe. Shuts off when warm, cools down then starts again. It has a slight water leak, but nothing major. Doesn't overheat. Please help me if you can shed light on this problem

Runs great till warm, shuts off, cools down, starts and runs again till warm. Any ideas?

Probably temperature control sensor, if you have it. I have an import and it gave me issues recently. Not expensive part only labor is costly

PS a slight drip of water out of tail pipe is not leak. This is normal for cars to do this. Of course you would not use tap water as a coolant..

Thanks, I did some diagnostics and the temp control sensor and maybe the coolant sensor will have to be changed. I am aware of condensation but she said the leak was under the engine. Anyway I am picking it up tomorrow for $900. Thank you for giving me an idea for a starting point. I'm not very familiar with Honda
