I have a 2003 E for my kids has 227k, should we upgrade

We  currently have a 2003 element   Which my kids drive
with all wheel drive , it has 227k on it we are the 3rd
owners  they will be now going to  school in the states 19
hr drive which they will need to do 3x a year, do we
upgraded or just drive this until it dies

I would upgrade unless you want to risk dealing with car problems long distance.

Determine if the has had the usual upkeep stuff done like struts. You could easily put another 100k on it. Even if you kill the motor that's replaceable. The Element has a loyal following and as long as it's not rusted out underneath someone will buy it.
