Spilled Coffee in Console of 2016 Honda CRV

I spilled half a cup of coffee in the middle console of my brand new 2016
Honda CRV. There was half a cup of coffee sitting in the rectangular area. I
ran inside the house to grab some towels, and the coffee was practically
gone when I came back out to the car. I was able to lift the rubber cover, but
where the heck did the coffee go? It's not spilling out from the bottom of the
console either. Did the carpet under the console soak it up or did it ooze out
into electrical areas. What do I do???

It appears impossible to remove the console - appears to be one big solid piece - though I'm sure there's a way. It's so odd. Thank you

My wife just did the same thing with a giant bottle of water. Did you take out the console? Did you have any long term effects from the coffee you spilled?

I didn't do anything about it. About a month after it happened, I had to replace a wheel speed sensor and a hub/bearing. Not sure if they were related to the coffee incident.
