Honda can go farther than 2 hundred 3 hundred thou if well maintained. Youll grt tired of the car and get anither one befire it dies. ( if you treat her right)
Don't forget that. in any car, gas mileage depends a lot on the way you drive it. If you treat your car well and keep it properly maintained, like it says above, it will give you many years of good service.
how long can my crv 2001 se run for
My 2002 has 230000 on it and I think I need to replace the timing chain. Will not idle and it's throwing the cam position sensor and crank position sensor codes.
I have a 2009 Honda CRV EX with about 110,000 miles. No engine issues ever. Oil always maintained. Other than the electrical Window button actuators on the Driver side, Catalytic Converter cover (They always rust out and need two large Hose clamps to keep in place), no other issues.

202,000 on my 2007. Bought new. Excellent still going like new. No issues
144,000 miles and counting on my 2011 CRV
22500 2003 crv and runs and stars like a champ
150000 currently 2009. I do regular maintenance. Did have the AC crap out and replaced2 years ago. I do still see plenty of the older models on the road where I live. Hoping it lasts 3 more years.
I have 155,000 kms (a little less that 100,000 miles) on my 2001 CRV. It does not have a lot of "get-up-and-go" from a standing start but will cruise at 120 kms (75 mph) forever, once you get to that speed. As others have said, good and regular maintenance will keep things going for a while. I can't see why 250,000 kms (~150,000 miles) isn't very possible. With rust proofing, there is virtually no visible rust.
I have 377,000 miles on my 2003 Honda CR-V. And I do not change oil as I should. It was made in UK. It had about 90,000 miles on it when I got it. I’m gonna keep driving it as long as it will run. I start off slow. Never had it on the floor unless I’m a tight while passing on a 2 lane. I have no complaints.
310,000 on my 1998 CR-V. It ain't pretty (dents and fender benders), but it's been very reliable. Great car. Yes, I've had to do several more expensive repairs (in the neighborhood of $1000) over the 14 years I've owned it, but hey - I bought at 108,000, put over 200,000 miles on, it's twenty years old now, and the repairs were cheaper than a new car, so I have no complaints! About to buy a new car, but I will be sad to see this one go.

My 2012 CRV AWD is about to go off warranty at 120K. Never miss a service. And with close to 900K miles on Hondas since 1992, I've yet to bring one of mine in for repair. I did get 285K on a 1984 VW Rabbit. Generally speaking, I think the secret is factory services 100% of the time and always when required. Comment up top is correct. We can get tired of the vehicle before it's time. My cure for that is a professional auto detailing every 6 months.
2006 honda cr-v, bought with 80k miles. Now at 160k. I keep up with maintenance, drive mostly on highways, but gun it and whip around corners and hit potholes. No problems.
2007 cry 320 000 still going strong. Great car
2006 195000 replaced ac fan and wheel hubs. No major problems. Hope to get another 5 to 7 years
2008 with 167K and still running and looking great! I do all the maintenance myself on time. Only issues were the AC clutch and door locks. These were recall issues I really can't think of anything else.. I did replace the struts myself as well. Hoping for at least another 5 years.
200k miles on my 2008 Honda CRV EX. Did replace the AC & have had tune ups. I keep up with oil & tire changes.
195k on my 2000 hope it makes 300k, love it and will miss it if it does not outlive me, dealer has been pretty useless lately, though, guess they do not care much about doing non- warranty repairs, last week had it a whole week said they found nothing, but managed to bend the antenna down, had to get plugs, a cap a rotor and a distributor 2 days later guess cuz dealers no longer hire mechanics that bother to look at it, just technicians that can read the computer with the help of a tool; same thing happening in medicine in this dumbed down country these days
I have a 2008 CRV EX-L 4 wheel drive now just turned 153000 last week and on my 4th Battery, and my 3rd set of tires and still tooling along just fine! think I'll wait until she reaches 200K before I consider trading for another one?
I have a 2003 Honda CRV EX with 223000 and haven't had one major issue yet. Getting ready to replace the struts for the first time as they have been making noise but are still functioning alright. We've kept up with most of the maintenance oil, transmission, rear diff., spark plugs etc. Lights in the dash are fading one by one. looking for a fix to that issue cause I'd like to know how fast I'm going at night.
I have a 2005 CRV with 269395 miles on it...love it but starting to have an intermittent starting delay/issue....
Looking at a 2007 CRV for my daughter (college student) with 180K miles. $ owners, consistent maintenance and no accidents. They are asking $7998, any thoughts? Would it need a new engine or transmission anytime soon?
I have two 07 CRVs. One with 170,000 miles and other with 95,000 miles. Higher miles CRV mostly highway driving and has softer rear struts and takes one quart oil every 4.000 miles. Lower miles CRV has firm ride and mostly city driving burns no oil. Average oil changes about 10,000 miles apart. No engine or transmission issues. Higher miles CRV will get a new alternator soon as preventive maintenance and AC needs recharging. I’d recommend change transmission and rear differential oil at least once for reliability if you already haven’t done so. If you get well maintained with verified receipts fro dealer then it’s s bargain for 8k.
Although most people don’t look after their cars. I’d expect $8000 for a CRV with 180000 miles to be in great shape with clean headlamps, Upholstry and tires at least good for about a half more life. Look for fine rice shaped cracks around radiator top. If they are present you’d need a radiator. If not it’s good to go.
I also feel changing iridium tipped spark plugs isn’t necessary. They never seem to wear out. I’m driving Toyota Sienna with 170,000 miles and still has factory spark plugs working flawlessly.
I have a little over 260,000 miles on my 2003 CR-V. I bought it with 90,000 miles already on it. I've replaced the power steering pump, rear struts, catalytic converter, gaskets for oil leaks, front brake rotors, and starter. This car is still going strong though and my new goal is to go past 350,000 miles. We shall see!
I have a 2003 CR-V 225 miles is the best car !!!
I have a 2004 Honda-CRV with 130K miles on it. I bought it used with 33K miles. I take it to the dealership for oil changes and regular maintenances. Runs like a champ, no issues!
I have a 2003 CRV that just had a timing chain go out. Made it to 360K averaging about 27 mpg. Engine and transmission is still good but having some oil leaks. Looking to buy another CRV and something with 200K mileage does not scare me. They are
I have a 2006 Honda crib only had to do struts & alternator after 10 yrs has 195000 hoping to go to 300k or more,)
Hello DTS_1553, Please let me know how many miles the alternator was changed at? Thank you.

2004 runs great no problems 250k miles
2008 CRV with 340000km. Runs great no issues. Going to drive it until it dies.
2004 crv ex with 350,000 miles! Purchased with 40,000 miles. Only parts replaced O2 sensor at 120,000, one ball joint at 250,000, complete roof at 250,000 from a deer crushing it to the dash! Spark plugs changed at 310,000 just because I adjusted the valves for the first time. Only out .002 on the intake side. Does not leak a drop of anything! Used mobile1 5/20 changed every 7k to 10k. My wife will not let this car go! I have orders to replace the engine when it blows!! Also have a 2003 element with the same 2.4l just passed 300k last week. I have only changed the water pump, TPS sensor, and regulator on this car. Purchased with 125k. Same fluid change as the crv. Two of the best cars ever! Miles on a Honda are not a concern if it is maintained. Hope this helps someone.
I have a 2001, 245,000 on it. Just barely starting to consider what I'll have to do without it...My only immediate concern is, how long will the transmission last?
1998 cr-v with 275k on it. Nothing major ever replaced. Reliable is what the "r" in CR-V stands for
I have a 2006 crv with 165k miles. I am the 4th owner and bought it at 95k. I have taken very good care of it and gotten regular services but the transmission is failing. My trustworthy mechanic has lightly advised me to consider trading it in while I can, but i had expected to get at least 250k from this car. I’m considering replacing the transmission... any thoughts/guidance? I also have a delayed start issue at times. I love the car and am very disappointed with this situation.
322,000 on my 2004 CRV EX. Have had to do practically nothing to it since owning it, best vehicle I have ever owned hands down. Still runs like brand new, does not use a drop of oil between oil changes. Even runs better and more efficient than any newer vehicle we own.
145,000 miles 2010 CRV so far - hope to get to 200,000. I got 170,000 (9 years old)on my previous Honda Civic after replacing transmission at 130,000 but then when it needed an engine I bought the CRV. Hope to get to 200,000 at least !
i got 170000 km on my 2009 honda crv lx..i had replaced recently 4 sets of strut/shock assembly ...twice for battery ...twice for tires..everything looks good so far...
I think they can last a long time but time, weather, road salt, pot holes, etc. take their toll on any car. Look at any object that is outside in hot & cold weather. Look at your appliances and how they wear. Things can only take so much wear and tear. Honda is great and their machines are more reliable but realize that after 7 or 8 years, you can have problems annually that will cost over $1000 even if you maintain and clean it regularly. Had 14 year old CRV. Had to replace a gasket, oxygen sensor, and recently the AC. I am happy with the 14 years but realized that it was just time to move on before it broke down on the road or needed another expensive repair.
1999 sport manual. 388855km and just had a road worthy check, all going fine only need a left hand ball joint replaced. Going in soon for a timing belt and water pump.
380,000 km so far on my 1998 CRV. Great ski road car and good fuel efficiency. I ensure all maintenance is done including regular changes of belts, hydraulic oil, diff oil, coolant etc. that many people leave. I also drive it carefully i.e. accelerate and brake gently. Living in a flat city helps as little hill work bar trghe ski season. Will run it until it drops. Grant - Christchurch NZ.
212,000 miles on CRV 2006. Replaced: alternator, rear struts, belt tensioner, control arm bushings, one rear bearing. Oil consumption is about 1 qt per 6K miles.
My 1998 CRV is at 310,000 miles, runs like it did when I bought it new. The same mechanic has worked on it since I bought it. Various major and minor repairs over the years. Body in great shape, no rust, although the red.paint has faded to a paler shade as that year tends to do. I see no reason to replace it. I love it like family. I'll just keep it maintained until one of us dies. If I die first, I'll be buried in it.
I have a 2008 Honda CRV EX. I have maintained it well. I have 145,000 on it and have to replace the leaking radiator and AC Compresser. Although expensive, cheaper than a new car. Due to poor roads in my area, I've had the shocks and front Axles replaced and 3 rounds of tires and batteries. I did have the belt replaced for good measure at 7 years. I love my CRV and hope it lives to be over 300,000 miles or more. This is my 4th Honda, it's the only brand I buy, so reliable.
I have a 2007 CRV LX at 118K miles. Last one year has been horrible, had to change water pump, alternator, starter, battery.
I have a 2007 CRV LX at 118K miles. Last one year has been horrible, had to change water pump, alternator, starter, battery. Now it seems exhaust issues, car has been making loud noise. Should I keep or get rid of the car, what do u guys think?
Currently at 327,000 miles. Keep her oil changed regularly and everything up to maintenance at all times. She could last you up to 700,000 or more if you're lucky! #crvgang4life
I have a 2004 honda crv with 407,200 miles and everything is original beside basic maintenance and wear and tear on the vehicle. Still going strong

1999 Honda CR-V EX with 290,000 original miles. Transmission replaced 2 years ago and AC broke this spring. Good interior but clock broke. Road salt began to rust the body. Currently burning one quart of oil every 3000 miles. Recent problem with check engine light but $300 fixed that. Regular maintenance is helpful. Hope to run 300,000 miles and more.

2007 CRV LX at 214,000 ... trying to go for at least 300,000 ... Friend drove his Accord around 350,000 before switching it out
201,000 miles on my 2008CRV AWD Bought it in 2010 with 60k. Have replaced Coolant Tube in Manifold, rear caliper, all coolant hoses, power steering pump, the cooling fan went out at 195k. No leaks, this era of CRV seems to be much more reliable than any new car being built. Would love to get another one, but first plan to get to 300k on original engine and transmission. Have done two total transmission fluid changes. One at 100k and one at 165k. Rear differential fluid changed at Honda at 100k Great car!
My 2007 CRV has 438,000 miles on it and is still running great. I've put several air compressors in it that have failed but the engine is still running so well, I'm shooting for 500,000 miles. It's been a fantastic commuter car for our family.
My 2005 Honda crv has 383908 km and now has some oil problems but that is it. Great vehicle. I am now thinking she may die as she does not sound like she did. Are the new crvs as reliable?
I have a 99 with 256k and runs like a dream...
2013 crv. 190000 miles and use it for my daily commute of 90 miles round trip. Great car. Haven't had any major issues. Synthetic oil only and have changed transmission fluid.
Well, I like Honda specially accord n crv. It depend on the driver, how to use the machine. Before buying 2007 with 285000 km . I test many from 2005 to 2010 with km from 188000 to 285000 km. I found the best 2007 with 285000 km n I plan to continue up to 400000. Insha Allah
I have a 2003 crv and before I got it from my sister it was badly abused. Oil hardly ever changed, ball bearings worn out, power steering practically in pieces. After all repairs done it runs very well with over 250k miles on it. I maintain it very well and it’s given me no problems

I have a 2008 CRV EX bought with 99k on it; currently have 269k - daily 105 mike round trip for work. Needed new ac compressor when purchased ($880) and have replaced front and rear wheel hub bearings ($400). Nothing else except regular oil changes and no issues to report. My 3rd CRV (lost previous two due to a driver on phone and a deer running into passenger side of car). Came here to see if others had same experience - great car and at age 62 hoping she lasts as long as me!

I have a 1998 CRV and it has 348K on original engine and transmission and still runs like a champ. Of Coarse I've been perfect in it's maintenance servicing. Best thing about it is I haven't had a car payment in 16 years....Thx Honda
I have a 2004 CRV with just under 250, 000. Biggest repair was the drive shaft earlier this year. Best car I have ever owned. Dependable and great on gas! Keep her well maintained and loved and she won't let you down.
I have a 2000 and it has 262000 and is still running good. I have put brakes, fuel pump, and fuel filter on it.

2008 purchased at 65K in 2011. Now has 375K. Replaced AC and door actuators, had the air bag recall done. Mechanic gets it Friday due to oil leak (something new!) and accordion boot flopping around in front. I'm not sure these have a standard top end for mileage.
I have a 2013 Honda CRV with 133000 kilometres I can probably do another hundred and fifty thousand kilometres on it. But I think I want a new car before then.

I CRVs! I have had a 1998 Accord and 2011 CRV. Both bought new. The accord got obliterated in the middle of the night, hit while parked outside front of my house. Ended up down the street in a ball. Had about 180,000 miles. Devastated I knew it had a ton of life left. Bought the 2011 CRV since bigger and great safety ratings. Recently rear ended by a truck going 50 miles an hour without breaking. Totaled my CRV at 180,000. I have concussion and whiplash but feel fortunate to have walked away alive. Not sure what would have happened if I would have been driving something else less safe. To replace it I just bought my first used car. A 2012 CRV with $198,333 miles on it! All maintenance records from dealership from day 1 and no reported accidents. Beautifully maintained inside and out. Some small hail damage but other than that perfection. Now finally I will find out how many miles it will go! Thanks to everyone who shared their inspiring high mileage car stories!

I have loved my 06 CRV SE. 234K miles but the transmission seems is going out (I never changed the fluid). I did decide to get a newer Rav-4 and was trying to decide between selling the CRV or replacing the transmission and giving it to my soon to be 16 YO daughter. Reading all these comments has helped cement my decision to keep it and fix it. This was my first Honda and the first car I never wanted to get rid of. Seriously the most fun car to drive!

I have a 2014 CR-V……best car I have ever owned. 115,000 miles, well- maintained with synthetic 0w-20 every 6000 miles. No problems at all, burns no oil, runs smooth as a clock. Plenty of power. Changed plugs and serpentine belt at 100,000 mike as regular maintenance …both looked perfect. I replaced disc worn brake pads and shaky front wheel rotors myself…very easy to do. Wonderful, comfortable, reliable vehicle for family of four.

I have a Honda CRV 2009 (bought new) with 170,000 on it - mainly a highway car. It has been well cared for and well lubed, and I want to keep it, but I am now dealing with corrosion of coolant pipe - the car overheated and I pray I stopped driving it soon enough. I go pick up the new pipe at a Honda dealer for my mechanic to install and the Honda parts guy tells me corrosion is a big problem with Hondas. WTF? Other than one brake calper that had to be replaced a couple of years ago, no other problems, but now I don't trust the car anymore. I'm a single woman who drives around a lot and can't be breaking down on the side of the highway. Very disappointed. Corrosion problems should have been dealt with years ago. Wasn't that a like 1970s problem with cars?
Guru9GXZYX answered about a year ago
I should add that my 2009 CRV is part of the recall for corrosion of something important in the structure of the car in the back. Again, really, corrosion should not be a problem by 2009.
