Why would I want to buy 25 year old Rolls Royce for day to day driving?

Prehaps because you like the smooth ride they have and you think it looks cool? or prehaps you find it relaxing to pay for the high cost of maintence and repairs of driving a RR everyday/ but surly not because of its ability to cut thru the corners and the breakneck performance which it does not have and dont forget there is no ABS or airbags for safety the choice is up to your personal preference but then again my daily driver is a 69 Camaro RS/SS 427 car which I bought in high school and it doesnt have airbags or ABS either to each his own have fun !
It depends on what image you want to project. Some people will be impressed but those in the know will see an old car that is really not worth all that much . The maintenance and repair costs will bring you down to reality before long.
That is what I thought; thanks.
They are like driving a sofa. Great for carrying passengers. and there's the digme's Dig Me , I have a Rolls
We have one. When it runs well, It's great. But more often than not, It's in the shop. My 1969 Shelby GT 500 makes it look like a waste of space. Finding the hydraulic mineral oil is expensive and annoying. I am 3/4 British, but their cars are rubbish aside of our F150, Jeep, the Shelby, or even my mum's Chevy. My advice is to find a good mechanic before you purchase it, as you will need one.
I have owned many cars including 4 rolls royce..depends on the year. They are unique and works of art but not as dependable other cars. Never had any problem with the ones that I owned. Make sure you have service records and a good owner history. They last if maintained and driven. Also, know where a reliable rolls technician is located if problems and for routine maintenance. V8 engines are reliable and hooked to GM tranny. Switched to injection mid 80s and those cars had their own set of issues. Better when bosch electronics and bmw engines used.
