Should I need to have the front end of my 2002 Honda Odyssey lined up after replacing both front struts? I replace the whole unit consisting of the shock, springs etc.
I replaced the front struts on my 2002 Honda Odyssey and immediately
afterward when driving home, the steering wheel was no longer orientated
properly. I had to turn the steering wheel to the 1 or 2PM position to go
straight. If I set the steering to the 12 o'clock position, the car veered to the
left. Is this typical, and should I need to have the front end aligned? I ask the
mechanic who installed the new struts if he did anything that would cause this.
He stated that they just installed the struts with bolts at the top and bottom of
the unit and wouldn't have done anything that would have caused the
problem. Would appreciate your opinion on the subject. Thank you.
