is is acceptable to use a non-Toyota battery in a Prius?

I had to replace my Prius 2016 batter which was dead. AAA replaced it with a
non-Toyota brand battery. Toyota now tells me that they only recommend using
a Toyota-branded battery. Is it acceptable to use a non-Toyota batter in the
car?

No problem! Toyota would prefer you buy an overpriced battery from them.
I've used a lawn mower battery in a corolla years ago, ran just fine and lasted a couple years before it threw a rod
Toyota electrons are exactly the same as any other brand electrons ;)

My original battery ran for over a 100,000 miles in my 2019 prius when it died I called dealership and they didnt have a battery in stock so I got one from a battery store. Is this okay The dealership is now saying the battery I bought not from them is dying and its only been a few months. Not sure what to do I dont have 250.00 $ to buy a dealership battery.
