Transmission service on a 2001 Honda Accord

Is it recommended to have the transmission filter
change when he gets close to 200000 miles at the
present time I have a hundred and ninety eight
thousand just need to know if I should do the
transmission flush and or the filter change as well.

Do not flush the system you can damage seals in the transmission, just empty the tranny and change the filter....DO NOT FLUSH

perhaps that should be 20k miles to change the transmission filter.

What ever you do, DO NOT GET THE TRANSMISSION FLUSHED! You will only have problems. But sure it is time, may even be way over due to have the filter and fluid changed.

Check with dealer , some honda trans filters can not be changed without disassembling the trans top casing .
