What would cause a hold blow in the EGR valve of
a 2004 Ford Escape 6 liter engine replaced it once
in blue a hole in it in the same spot

I have seen this problem a few times before. I believe at least one of your catalytic converters is clogged and this is what is causing your problem.

DON'T replace the egr valve with another one, buy an egr delete, the code light will be on but it will run fine
