If you had the starter engaged for 20 min. now I would take it out and have it checked. That is not good on a starter. Also your battery is going to need to be charged back up.

Hello, I have a 2001 Ford Taurus Wagon and it is having some issues. It starts, however, the idle is jumpy and thr RPM's surge and it sputters and stumbles and back fires at times while driving, and sometimes the gas peddle jumps under my foot.
