Buying from a private seller

Asked by Victhm9 Mar 03, 2019 at 11:27 PM about the 2013 Ford Fusion SE AWD

Question type: General

Do I need to come prepared to pay the
seller cash or Cashiers Check, or do I
pay CarGurus? We've never done this
before, but after a week of emails
texts and calls, I test drove it and he
even went with me to a reputable
mechanic for a complete inspection
that took about an hour and a half. All
is good with the car  and it's a great
choice for my teenage son's 1st
vehicle. The next step tomorrow is
payment and driving it home. Any idea
how I go about this?

Ask the seller what hed like. An make sure you atleast get a paper stating both your names the price name of car an vin number. (Bill of sale) that way everthing is clean incase things go south on the deal.
