2003 Chevy Tahoe Z71 5.3L v8 non flex fuel.

When I bought it a year ago I use to get about
15mpg then my tranny went out I put a new one in.
But it sat for a few months in the process so after I
fixed it I only get about 11mpg now. I've changed
the fuel filter, I put a intake on it, the plugs/wires
also have cleaned my throttle body and my maf
sensor and still the same now when it gets to 1/4
tank or less its super sluggish taking off and
boggs.

Scan for codes. If the transmission is not shifting properly or slipping it might cause some of these problems.

So? A lot of new transmissions are junk. If the problem coincided with the new transmission why would you not suspect it?

Sounds like you may have some sludge in the bottom of the tank, disconnect it from the filler neck st the tank to syphon, then drop and flush the tank....also recommend flushing/replacing the fuel filter again as to may have trapped some of the sludge
