How remove rear bumper 2000 Accord Special Edition

Do this for both sides of the car. Pry the black plastic clips out of the bottom underside of the bumper. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the clips up and a pair of needle-nose pliers to pull them out. There are 12 clips along the bottom edge of the bumper. Open the trunk and pull the carpet up from the rear of the floor. Locate the row of four 10-mm bolts and remove them. Pull the bumper partially off the Accord. Unplug the wiring for the side marker lights and push the light lenses out for use in the new bumper. Pull the bumper completely off the car. INSTALLATION: Place the Accord bumper on the car and slide it into place, slipping the top edge underneath, where the trunk lid sits. Open the trunk and replace the row of four 10-mm bolts along the rear edge of the floor. Replace the carpet. Snap the light lenses onto the bumper and reach behind them to plug the wiring in. Push the bumper into place and install the two 8-mm bolts on the front edge, directly behind the rear tires. Insert the row of 12 black clips into the bottom, underneath edge of the bumper. Push them in with your fingers to completely install them. The bumper is now fully installed. TIPS: Use a small container to keep all of the bolts and hardware in when removing the bumper so that they are easily found when replacing the bumper.
