Why does my civic screech/grate when I turn it on

Noise continues but is less when driving. Yellow maintenance light is on

Check the condition of the serpentine belt if it has any cracks or looks glazed and old, replace it, also check the condition of the belt tensioner and idler pulley, make sure everything spins smoothly and doesn't feel loose.
