Why is my car overheating after I replaced the radiator?

My radiator had a leak and I only have one car so I had to use it anyway.  
During that period of time I used the car and had to add water to the
radiator every time I stopped just to keep it from getting too hot.  There were
times that the car ran hot and now it is overheating even though there is no
leak and I filled the radiator with antifreeze.  I think I may have damaged
something else on the car running it hot.  Please help.

Did you also replace the thermostat? Check the condition of the hoses? Flush the coolant? Water is corrosive, antifreeze contains detergents and rust inhibitors as well, so running with just water can be bad for an engine if done for a long period of time. There may be a blockage or something impeding coolant flow in the engine, a flush would help with that. Other problems you may want to look into are the condition of the water pump and coolant sensors and operation of the cooling fans. Lastly, when refilling coolant you have to bleed all the air from the system, this can take one or more tries to get all the air out.

I have a 2000 Honda Accord, I took the termostate out an had just water in it, then soon as I put some coolante in it, it started over heating. I need some feedback please
