Transmission fluid level looks good. Are the shift sensor and shift solenoid the same thing?

I don't think so, but it does sound like the shift select sensor on the side of the transmission is faulty.
@Crew_Chief that is a neutral safety switch / GP sensor NOT a solenoid these are the solenoids to the V6 ex 3.0L solenoid A - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Transmission-Lock-up-Solenoid-For-Honda-Accord- Odyssey-Acura-CL-28200-P0Z-003/402210626564 solenoid B&C - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Transmission-Shift-Control-Solenoid-Valve-B-C- Kit-for-Honda-Accord-Acura-CL-TL/114037216262 master lock up solenoid - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Transmission-Dual-Linear-Solenoid- for-Honda-Accord-Odyssey-Acura-28250-P6H-024/282054922781 neutral safety switch / GP sensor - https://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-2002-Honda-accord- transmission-gear-position-switch-fits-V6/372874136253? fits=Year%3A1999%7CModel%3AAccord%7CMake%3AHonda&hash=item56d107cabd:g: PiYAAMXQiM5Q9ue4 speed sensor - https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Vehicle-Transmission-Speed-Sensor-For- Honda-Accord-Odyssey-S2000-2000-2005/231814531807? epid=22017177794&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item35f9390adf:g:dZIAAOSwv2tfC~N4& amdata=enc%3AAQAFAAACgBaobrjLl8XobRIiIML1V4Imu%252Fn%252BzU5L90Z278x5i ckkai8xCwosGKpC0NWj85e%252FB%252F5JpnHwu6pB946mmtEmdC9sqh1kr%252B67 VUxbkFjwQm9kHb9FQMprJbiGJ1hGO%252BraOGjKVz%252FMrKCY%252BviE746mn5 MB%252Bb61tmlKMl8H3EniIZPAxRWLwajkx44%252F7Ers0vcowEojUMfwzLy80%252Fy9 %252BZsa8Tx06cef9HtqZdnarsNHdM%252FaYwKSuPPi4q%252F2BFYnQiuQbnVleFk9Z gHRmK%252Bh1s9%252FDLL2v%252FpcLl0D1%252BFAekMLNoe%252BYi3nusQ3NpO 0hdG3Y4Si2vJ4JH7Vn1a%252FxRSa6HiLZJvqRAjSvxjzrYcZ4d8qEKVedRp%252Ff3usAB 3EXMw%252BIHKymT6j%252B6o5HwRXUnAlFVEQWt76440gHIx0iNIAoroH0YoERN1QV XYjRenESpGJx8grj2MAO5%252Fng7wHYxnnhYX6%252Bxe9mA3EUs4gegBRpwIZExgI PQzWOi5NFKCq2giC%252FFt5GamdQexNm9L7MBdt%252F4MRnT2GiTkeNXpY42wf% 252B%252BB513VKWR%252B2RC3PWS8x3aNSPSh5kwz6y7hgs02sBuUjoLv2caUXsyn hKGKicOV8mSzhuI2GbstfEOpCcPn1rQeYsrgUJz4pralo%252FfHAiR5q1wliBk%252FdOv3 2bGvTeKHHylPgco3NPnEhCqCvoAojdvswXB1K72QRDMltclpXns%252FtYptABE4ZArUftX T4Q31Jj13xWyHsVEgQ2t6hZfnz2hS%252BMBvbgLXOskm0ObZwG3Fy2jXYPS3Fbdr3YD SUrxhAQi%252B4ZVb1Bn92GTsKfRgyVb23rLE2gpuf3%252BgfWRKv7VnAcYzoQTc%253 D%7Ccksum%3A2318145318074ba12f9b872847f69ffbecacaf87c3bb%7Campid%3APL_C LK%7Cclp%3A2334524 gear 2/3 pressure switch - https://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-HONDA-ACURA-AUTO- TRANS-Oil-Pressure-SWITCH-sensor-2ND-3RD-GEAR-OEM-28610/112914912387? hash=item1a4a40d483:g:IwIAAOSw3jBaxe5t if you change 1 you will have to change ALL or the CPU will over correct and throw out another solenoid or sensor in the end ( trust me i know all to well )
