My 1999 Honda Accord looses power but engine does not stop

I'm driving down the road and the car suddenly looses power, but the engine does not die.  I have an automatic
transmission so I quickly put it in neutral. I can still can rev the engine.  I put it back in drive and it continues to work.

the chock -gas flow adjuster- runs automatically, after time it could just be faulty.
