2013 Jetta Side Mirror - Manual version convert
Asked by Chester Apr 07, 2018 at 10:35 AM about the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Trendline Plus
Question type: General
Can I change my side mirror to a powered version? Mine has the manual
adjustment joystick. I have searched over the internet but they all say that
powered side mirror is standard. But not mine unfortunately.

If the manual and power mirrors are identical, the conversion can be done, however, it will require wiring to a power source plus the mirror position control that comes in the car with this option. You may need to drill/make holes in the door panel for the installation.
the cars are pre built to handle most parts you can put in them. the the holes and the plug may already be there. You will likely need to hit up a wreckers and get the wiring harnesses and stuff tho. I would pop the panel and see what is there already.
Thank you, i will check and see if there is an existing plug already. I hope there is. Do you guys know a place where i can but a complete kit? (with wiring and control included) i am based in toronto, canada
You can find the full conversion kit online. Auto Parts Warehouse has different options, as well as other sellers. You may want to check them out.
Hi did you upgarde your side mirrors? Even I have manual remote side mirrors and their cords are broke.
