honda wont start

Asked by Jose Jan 01, 2016 at 03:47 AM about the 1999 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Went to go start my car made a pop sound
and now the car trys to turn on like its not
the starter i believe makes a rar rar sound
like idk if i pop the cain off the timing
belt....... car wont start... please help .

Sounds like your chain broke or skipped...

I was driving my Honda accord and it drove for a while and then begin to stop on me. I hooked the cables to the battery and the cables got hot. I checked the fusses and they are good. I brought a new battery and the dash lights come on but it still won't go. What is wrong. When I hook the cables to the battery they get hot and sparks begin.

If it did ,I'm going to say about $700.00 to repair...
