drives really good except when stopping its like its late falling into that last

Automatic tranny? If so, may be as simple as checking and correcting the fluid level or the shift adjustment switch. As to the heat it could be a plugged system or heater core, a bad thermostat, or coolant temperature sending switch, non working air blend door or low coolant level.
