1999 Honda Civic ex 5 speed

While driving my car and I get to 5 1/2 thousand
rpms the gas just quits the car is still on and
everything but the gas and when I slow down to
about 35 mph it starts working fine again until I get
back up to 5 1/2 rpms I was told it could be a
throttle position sensor I checked it and it still
wasn't it any answer will help thanks.

Could be a fuel regulator, or fuel pump. Some fuel pressure test would need to be done to determine which one or if any are bad. If the check engine light is on have the vehicle scanned for trouble codes.
