1988 Dodge Raider worth it?

Asked by GuruFNM5V Apr 27, 2020 at 05:43 PM about the 1988 Dodge Raider 4WD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I'm looking for one of a kind vehicle to purchase and get it
up to car show standards. I'm looking for something
different not in the ordinary. I have the opportunity to buy a
1988  Dodge Raider. At first I was excited cause that fit my
bill. But since reading different websites I'm not for sure
now. A lot of the magazine ,article, and blogs etc are
basically saying run the other way not worth it. What do you
guys think. Would it be worth it or should I look for
something else.

Personally I'd never suggest that anyone buy any Chrysler Product! Especially from the 80s or older! Absolute junk in my opinion! But if you like the vehicle, know what you're buying, and it's what you want, go for it! I had a 70 Pontiac Catalina Station Wagon for 16 years. Why? Because I liked it! Apparently nobody else did because it was very hard to get parts for! Most parts catalogs skipped right over 1970 Pontiac full sized models. But tracking down parts when I needed them was part of the fun! Plus nobody else had one! It was a very unique car! So the moral of the story is buy what YOU like and everyone else can go pound sand! Good luck with your project! Hope that helps! Jim
