VW Type 1 Engine Swap

Asked by Jeanette Dec 12, 2020 at 06:14 PM about the 2008 Volkswagen Beetle 2.5 Convertible

Question type: Car Customization

Can I put an older engine in a newer bug to protect it from an EMP?  I can get a
2008 beetle for less than some older ones, but worry about all the engine
electronics.

1 Answer

I would tend to think that the car body could be a faraday cage if you deal with window openings. If you truly want a car for the apocalypse I would get a diesel car with mechanical fuel injection.

Your Answer:

Beetle
